Wrapped Human Body Final

Image
For this project, I wanted to incorporate the striped shadows seen, along with the stripes of the sheet. I used this sort of huddled on the ground position, as it is very vulnerable looking. The head down and the hair hanging in locks coupled with dramatic lighting gives a sort of eerie feeling. I had one arm out because I felt it was a better picture and I enjoy the way the strips of light are shown on the arm as well.

The Letters Inspired by Moonrise Kingdom      This photograph composition was influenced by the Wes Anderson film Moonrise Kingdom, which tells the story of two young kids in love. Touch allows us to find our way in the world in the darkness or in other circumstances where we can't fully use our other senses. By combining eyesight and touch, primates excel at locating objects in space." -Diane Ackerman, A Natural History of the Senses .  Title Ink on paper For this piece I was inspired by the quote "What a marvel to see so many lives at full stretch, defined by needles and ink, so many people who wished to become their own text." The writing creates a woman's silhouette. The text writes from top to bottom: "Of all the skin-deforming arts, one of the m...
